A Rock-A-Billy score sets the backdrop for this musical filled with Southern charm, red-neck humor, and good ole heart.

Bombs over Mumbai

A gay Jewish man moves to Mumbai to escape a family that condemns him. He begins working as a janitor for a hotel just to pay rent at the small apartment he found. He came to Mumbai being drawn to the peace that travelers say they feel when they visit the temples and holy places of India. While there he meets a Muslim man named Moon who is also trying to find his place. They begin a forbidden relationship through letters that they write to eachother and hang on a prayer tree in town. Each one of them sneaks out to the tree at night and finds the new letter and responds the next night. Moons family finds out about his relationship and his world starts to implode. The two of them have to find the strength of will, heart, and faith to make sense of their love and their view of God and life. The show is filled with bright colors, big Bollywood style dance and song numbers, heartfelt humour, touching moments, all surrounding a story of overcoming seemingly hopeless circumstances.

Life at Wildwillow College is just like any other urban Junior College in a small city. Students come here because they come from low income families and can’t afford to go to a larger university out of state. Some students have brilliant minds and passion so vibrant that it could launch them to the highest highs of the professional world. Sadly most of them will never make it due to lack of opportunity for people like them. A new member of the music department faculty decides to build a choir for the first time in twenty years at the college. Students sign up for the class, hoping for an easy A. Their simple plans are all thrown a curve ball when a student with a…mystical extra curricular hobby, auditions for the choir. When he walks in on some of the choir boys assaulting another boy, he casts a curse on the whole choir so they must face the inner pains of those around them that they judge. Everytime one of the choir members utters the words “Cue The Music”, they hear the innermost hurts and desires of those around them: performed in a full musical number of course. Hilarity, TMI, secrets, and tragedies deeper than anyone anticipated to be involved with ensue. Wildwillow College and it’s student body will never be the same.

THOSE WHO PASS THE LINE

A runaway orphan from a work house takes shelter in a theater. She watches her first opera and falls in love with the “magicians” she witnesses becoming completely different people once they pass a magical line from backstage to the mystical world of the spotlight. She begs to join the company and is taken in as a rope operator. One of the dancers has a soft spot for the girl and they begin a mother daughter relationship that opens both of their hearts once again to the idea of love and beauty still existing in the world. When the theater is on the edge of closing and two of its star performers are attacked and almost killed for being ‘degenerates’, the company must come together and find a new purpose to drive them to pass that magical line once again. A girl, a tragedy, a brilliant idea, and a magical storm create the background for a grand adventure of music, dance, and new beginnings.

A time traveler from 2020 decides to go into the future instead of the past, fearing for what the world looks like. When she arrives she finds the world devoid of color and sound. She comes to learn that music, theater, and art were all eventually abandoned by society. Schools were the first to abandon them and soon after cities and cultures began deciding that the arts were not a worthwhile concept and thought the world would function more efficiently without them. The world did indeed flourish with science and business but there is less life, laughter, and even love has become more of a business contract than an emotional experience.
Eventually she meets someone who has been collecting artwork and instruments from “Ages past” who protects them in an underground Museum. With her time machine taken by the ruling government and no way to get back home, The time traveler decides to start teaching people about music for hope that she can awaken their compassion once again and get their aid to get her back home.
